Fatal Vision® THC – Event Kit
This kit includes six (6) activities, each demonstrating the distinct impairments and dangers resulting from driving under the influence of recreational THC.
Modeled Impairments
Loss of short-term memory, executive function, altered visual perception, and slight loss of motor coordination
Experience
This THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) educational toolkit simulates the lack of perception and diminished reaction time caused by recreational THC use. Through a series of activities, participants will explore the dangers of drug use while driving and engaging in other daily activities.
How It works
At the heart of this event kit is the Fatal Vision THC Goggle, a tool that impairs a person‘s ability to perceive color (NOTE: someone under the influence of THC DOES NOT lose their ability to distinguish between colors). We use this feature of the goggle to model some of THC’s impairing effects – i.e., the loss of a participant‘s capacity to make quick and accurate decisions. For an impaired driver, that loss could lead to a crash.
The event kit also includes THC education and prevention instructional materials and videos to help you use the THC goggles with custom–designed activities. These activities give participants an understanding of some of the potentially severe consequences that can result from THC use. PATENT NO.: US 10,366,630 B2
