Experience
With the Fatal Vision Concussion Simulation Goggles, participants gain a deeper understanding of what it feels like to live with the effects of a traumatic brain injury (TBI) caused by a bump, blow, or jolt to the head or body. By experiencing symptoms firsthand—such as dizziness, visual disconnect, disorientation, and confusion—participants develop greater empathy for those recovering from a concussion. The tools in this kit encourage participants to recognize the seriousness of TBIs, report concussions, take preventative measures, and follow a doctor’s prescribed recovery protocol.

How It Works
The Campaign Kit includes a variety of interactive activities developed with input from trauma doctors to challenge hand-eye coordination, visual processing, balance, and cognitive function. Participants first complete activities without impairment and then repeat them while wearing the Fatal Vision® Concussion Goggles, allowing them to directly compare performance and experience the impact of a concussion.

Activities include multiple Concussion Goggles for group participation, timed physical challenges, cognitive and reading-based tasks, and large-format DIES® mat activities designed for movement and engagement in event or classroom settings. A user guide provides clear instructions to support effective facilitation.
